for their first release in 2010, the infamous label kanzleramt will team up with suol for this split release called nip split : 01. as the 01 might already tell you, this isnt a one time thang ... this is just the beginning of a looooong relationship to come! on the kanzleramt side we find suol label owners chopstick & johnjon (true, its starting to get a bit complicated here) with the track infidelity that is already a sure shot in the recordbags of the suol and kanzleramt family. infidelity gives us a sneak peak on the guys background, with its sample based theme and the ruff programing. there might have been one or two hip hop parties that the two attended in the past. give this one a spin and the groove will show you, how much impact this lovely house tracker gonna have on the floors. on the flip side mr. kanzleramt himself aka heiko borrowed us his artist peter horrevorts for a dancefloor monster!

mike minds only previous release, >acid machine<, has been tigas most played record since it was made. a full-time turbo employee, he has spent the past few years getting his brain around making techno, and continues to impress us with his output. his debut ep, >resonate<, is something of a departure for our label, and one we are very proud of.
its amazing to have this kind of music coming directly out of turbo hq, it nails a sound that we have always tried to cultivate. minimal without being boring, trippy without being predictable, unafraid of melody, and with just enough analog imperfection and warmth to it.
both of the remixers we chose represent different sounds in techno that have influenced mikes sound.
1: sophisticated italian groove*
giorgio gigli is an italian minimal-trance maestro, an incredibly modern renaissance man who is also a trained sommelier.** he is rising in the ranks and catching up in profile to his occasional production partner, donato dozzy. hopefully we will have more of his tracks on turbo soon.
2: m¦n¦m¦l
hobo is a fellow canadian best known for his excellent work on m¦nus. rumor has it, he borrowed richies quad-macro template file to finish the final version of this remix... whatever he did, his second effort came up huge, this mix is excellent.

wildtime recordings usher in 2006 with their second release and once again strobe funk step up to the plate with more jacked-up grooves for the 21st century. the wigged-out acid of >shake your body down< roughs things up on the a side. insistent stabs an old disco vocal, some low pads and a tweakin 303 make this perfect for some sweaty, heads down action. >jump back< thumps along on a mid-paced groove. some 80s flavours are thrown in and a erm, >borrowed< vocal floats in and out of the mix and all the while the acid keeps on flowing. those strobe funk boys, they love their acid!

rock my soulsees a great borrowed vocal from delano tyler topping a bass-heavy backdrop from the octave one folks, with stabbing old school synths, great percussion, chunky beats, and that great meaty bassline all helping to work the floors. you also get a vocal-free take for all you bass-driven peaktime house lovers. on the flip, a vinyl run out for a track they recorded specifically for the recent jeff mills mix, the exhibitionist, with pmpa chunky techno-fueled houser packed with solid synth lines, driving beats, and a strong bassline
